Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip releases solo EP

Alexis-Taylor-HotChipAlexis Taylor, better known as one fifth of Hot Chip, has been very busy. Rather surprisingly, it turns out he’s been squirrelling away on some new solo material which has been released as a solo EP today (available from Domino here). The EP is called ‘Nayim From The Halfway Line’ and features four new tracks: Rhodes Dream / You Want Me / Hot Squash / Jesus’ Birthday and comes complete with Matisse/disabled toilet sign mash-up artwork. A teaser for the EP has surfaced and, judging by this aural peek, it sounds like a stretched out electro romp. What else would you expect from Hot Chip’s main man? ‘Nayim From The Halfway Line’ is also available digitally from 17 December… ‘just in time for Jesus’ Birthday’. Watch the teaser below.
