It’s safe to say Pulp have had a good year. As the lights go down on 2012, Jarvis Cocker et. al. will probably look back and wryly grin at a sold-out reunion tour, including a triumphant homecoming show at Sheffield Arena, a stint on the S.S. Coachella, and now they can add to that a fresh mix of their track ‘After You’ by none other than James Murphy (founder of the now sadly defunked LCD Soundsystem). This track is a resurrection from the 40+ demos the band recorded for 2001’s We Love Life. The track never made it onto the album but, over a decade later, it’s been given a super-charged disco infused shot of nitrous oxide and sounds like it’s ready to kick start every NYE party going (if the DJ likes Pulp or LCD Soundsytsem).
