Spotlight: Deptford Goth – ‘UNION’

deptfordgoth604-604x400This has been floating around the ether for nearly a month so it’s hard to believe it’s only just popping onto people’s radars. I’m not entirely sure if Deptford Goth‘s name will stand the test of time (I thought Vice might have been behind this at first)  but then I pressed the play button and all became clear. This is for real. In a big way. UNION is the second single taken from Deptford Goth’s debut album Life After Defo, set for release on Merok Records some time in ‘early 2013’. The track channels the spirit of James Blake on a blissful 4am comedown after a warehouse party in the early 90s. In the time it’s taken me to write this, I’ve listened to it four times, and I’m about to listen to it again, and again…
