Listen: Playlounge – ‘zero’

playlounge2Some things are surely worth waiting for. A sunrise? Yes. A first true love? Sure. How about a massive dose of joyous in-your-pretty-face noise pop? The answer would have to be a resounding YES! This is what London based two piece Playlounge have been working on in the form of their debut album Pilot, set for release on 14 April on Dog Knights Productions.

Playlounge have been responsible for some of the most gloriously scuzzy, riff laden lo-fi rock music to come out of the capital for quite some time and we’re pleased to see that there’s absolutely no sign of this coming to an end.

The band have just unleashed a taster for the album by way of the track ‘zero’, and it finds them on blistering form. Drenched in typically overdriven, melodic guitar bursts and blistering drums that sound like they’re being beaten to within an inch of their lives, ‘zero’ comes at you bright and shining like a neon juggernaut. We think it’s safe to say that Pilot is going to bring a wave of radness all over your face.
