Listen: Cheatahs – ‘Controller’

Cheatahs newLondon based amplifier abusers Cheatahs released what was probably one of the best albums of the year back in February with their self-titled LP, and after spending pretty much the remainder of the year on the road, the band have now announced the release of a new EP.

Sunne comprises of four tracks recorded in true to form lo-fi style in various bedrooms and is set for release on 23 February on Wichita. But you don’t have to wait until then to get a taste, because the band have released lead track ‘Controller’ to whet your appetite.

The song tones down the usual fuzzed-out onslaught in favour of a more spacious, baggy feel embracing a swirling psych edge. But the track still packs a brawny punch and carries a truly infectious, burrowing ear worm melody.

Listen to ‘Controller‘ below.
