Listen: Tacocat – ‘I Hate The Weekend’

tacocatWith the weekend nearly upon us, you’re probably looking forward to spending the next 48 hours enjoying yourself, right? Not if you’re Seattle-based day-glo punks Tacocat

Their new track ‘I Hate The Weekend’ takes all the joyous anticipation of those hallowed two days and turns the conventional wisdom on its head. The ironic thing is that, despite being a song about embracing the working week and being indifferent to the weekend, the track has enough scrappy energy it could easily be the very soundtrack to it.

Launching with a breakneck beat and a mile high surf rock guitar line, ‘I Hate The Weekend’ has, at its core, a chorus so catchy it will stick to the inside of your brain like a fresh burst of pink bubblegum.

The track is taken from Tacocat’s third album Lost Time, released on 1 April via Hardly Art. followed by a tour throughout May in support.
