Good news: the swirling psych pop of Brussels based duo Robbing Millions doesn’t show any sign of letting up.
The band have recently announced that their self-titled album is on the way later this year, and have done the decent thing by whetting our collective appetite with their new track ‘Dreams Like Photographs’.
Taking cues from the likes of Tame Impala and Mew, Robbing Millions create a towering tornado of multicoloured textures and blissed-out vocal stylings.
‘Dreams Like Photographs’ sparkles with effervescent energy and calls to mind the heady days of early MGMT, but the track also takes some surprising twists.
Just when the slick poolside energy lulls you into a sense of tropical calm the track ignites into a brightly lit neo-disco wig-out. And that’s always a welcome thing. It’s a solid three and a half minutes of rushing, heady pop energy.
